Change Of Atmosphere: Brew The Coffee & Cue The Jazz

I

could have sworn I was in New York City’s Greenwich Village, intoxicating minus the toxic components that comprise the metropolis. It is still a village alright, a village with all the components that comprise the Atmosphere @atmosphere_news. After officially attending this unorthodox setting twice, I am a member of this community too and always look forward to the next gathering. Like “the Village” or any village, flora and fauna comprise the community and environment as well as other elements. It is this assortment of diverse personas that draws multitudes form various stations of life. And there I was thinking it’s just about Coffee and Jazz, I was wrong and blown away.

There is an African Eagle @ThePompi that is the architect, mastermind and also the main event, a Crazy Fish Band @crazyfisH_band that has multiple heads and keeps the rhythm going, the Lion of Africa @thelionofafrica with a gruff raspy roar who is backed at any given time by a stunning gazelle and a very conspicuous mole, there also two soul sisters called Flow 1ne @The_Flow1ne (@Abi_MaliWorship & @SeyaFun) create some moving vibes and a human called Evans who has a vibrato and like Peter Pan can fly. That collective completes the lineup of what comprises the Atmosphere Nation.  A lady from the Far East Sue with her Kobi Food crew, brew the non toxic portion that cools the villagers. You will also run into a guy called Masauso who is in charge of making sure the tunes and beats come out right and another character with a camera doing big bang theory things online called Silunesii @silumessii. But what about Brian? Ask Masuaso about him, he will fill you in on the Village Elder.

The guy that moves the crowd and cracks ribs warrants his own one liner or two, with humor that ties it all together non-explicit Apollo style. We both attended Urshman Eagles University and we are definitely come from the same township called art. He has a rare gift that is brutal in a gentle way, look out for the MC. The point of all this you ask? So “Simpulified”, it is something you have to experience for yourself, and like #October18 which is the new Crazy Fish single available on Retunes @itsretunes along with Gwesa by Flow 1ne, it’s astonishing and will leave you beaming. Oh yes you will also hear music that is unreleased and unplugged none of that playback too, it is all live to make you feel alive. *Insert Sam Nyambe voice*Feel Me?” said @Sam_Nyambe

It’s pure gusto, a dose of caffeine as the variations of bop serenade you. Harmonics always sends me into a happy place trance, I’m uplifted by
Flow1ne, marveled by the Lion of Africa. Coffee and Jazz in case you are wondering is about socializing, networking and taking a load off in a non toxic milieu. First of the month November first at 3pm, it is the last one, K 100 gets you into a whole different Atmosphere with something for everyoneKOBI will keep you breezy with a selection of world class ice coffee made by a barrister, theirs is enough cake until it sells out, yes there CD’s and other cool Retunes paraphernalia on sale and finally Pompi backed by Crazy Fish will deliver uncompromised entertainment value. Enough said, cue that coffee & brew that jazz and the Village Café is where it is @. I knew I had forgotten something, there’s art on sale so bring your cheque books along and support, the paintings are amazing.

A Day In The Life Of Zambian Fashion: Fashion Day Out

Author. the Zambian godfather of Blogging Sir Kempson Ari de Visé we Yulu

My forename is Fashion/mode/vogue/élan and although I have been in Zambia for a long time, I have only come to the limelight recent times. As Zambian Fashion, my friends include MaFashio @MaFashio who have made me their poster child, Towani Clarke @TowaniClarke and her brand Kutowa Designs @KutowaDesigns, Vala @valadesignhouse opened its doors so I can be presented in all the various forms and hues I exist to suite a cross section of trend lovers needs and tastes and an ever growing list of new young and designers to older fashion institutions such as Kamanga Wear @kamangawear who have been innovating and diversifying and even taken me with them as far as South African Fashion Week and Fay of Fay Designs who is headed for the Fashion Reception for a third time in Paris. I’m excited because in the wake of the official three day celebration of Zambian fashion @Zedfashionweek and show case of all things related to me as well as Zambia’s birthday, I am being fêted and empowered with an entire day devoted to me… join me at Fashion Day Out this Saturday 31st October from 9am to Midnight at Foxdale Court @FoxdaleCourt, it is my day and everything related to me as fashion.

My family name is art or Zambian aesthetics, music and cuisine are my siblings and they too will also be present making it a family affair. We will all be on sale at various Designer Popup shops on site at Foxdale Court from 9am – 4pm, feel free to indulge. Before I go any further I have a very important announcement… The attendance for this event is FREE. Now that I’m a big deal in Zambia, there thinking about me a lot and how they can make my life as Fashion even better and more important hence part of the day will be spent talking, sharing and advancing my cause at the Fashion Think Tank which will run from 10am – 4pm. As I’m about that life, it would not be an event without showing me off on the runway via Fashion Show from 8pm and an After Party at Sky Bar for all my friends and fashionistas… It’s going to be a party.

Aside from a chance to see me, feel me and buy me, I’m also bringing people together so they can network and widen their scope. I assure you everyone loves me because Fashion is an extension of people’s character and as I appeal to people in various ways, come with an open mind. By this point you have made up your minds and are coming to the experience no doubt, bring the kids along too because it’s a family event and grownups will be well behaved and not indulge in their silly bad habits  that they see on tv in an attempt to try and be cool and hipfashionable. My all weather comrade and social megaphone/biographer (who also wrote this verbatim)/author will be on deck live blogging and tweeting (with Larry the Twitter bird) as the Fashion Day Out Superhero (He’s to legit to be a mascot). It does not get more official than that, make your outfit as certified as an NRC and come in character.

I’ve come a long way in 5ifty one years, from just being mere print telela, java and wax Chitenge suites mothers and grandmother wore post 64’and also  a piece of cloth they used to hold babies on their backs. Now I’m an institution, an enterprise and an event that is élan, I get excited with the direction a new generation of Zambian designers such as MUSHA and Debbie Chu @Debbiechu101 are taking me. I just came from being celebrated for three day at Zambia Fashion Week, and now in the wake of latter, I have my own day which feels like my get-together hosted in a unique setting.  It has been a way of life for me in Paris where I have been celebrated since the 1660’s at the Saint-Germain Fair, and now it is an honour to be at the Fashion Day Out organized by the Zambia Fashion Council @ and Foxdale Court on the 31st of October 2015 from 9:00am – 00:00am at Foxdale Court in Roma. Institutions in support of my well being as Fashion include, Vala, MAFASHOW, The US of A, Zambia Fashion Week, National Arts Council (NAC), MaFashio, Hot Fm @HOT877Zambia, IMAN cosmetics @IMANcosmetics, FORTRESS, Kabila Branding, ZHappening @zhappening and Atmosphere @atmosphere_news. In case you are still wondering, my name is Zambian Fashion and Fashion Day Out is my day. Catch you on the seam/crease.
