Dj Joe Mfalme @DjJoeMfalme our Great Lakes neighbor set it off with that Kenyan energy to the deck with throw back club classics only a seasoned Dj and clubbers would know tho. He was not done with his set yet, he had some club bangers for the trendy listeners tho. As for GoodLuck @GoodLuck… it was a stellar performance of the highest quality… Live sax and electro percussion with rich silky vocals to jazz up sound (I didn’t get my free T-shirt tho so can I get a Follow tho instead after the exclusive of course!) brought the festival energy levels to cosmic. It did not pause with the boogie caused by the infectious Cape tunes. And then Dj Blocks @DjBlocksZambia and Dj Dutch @sebastiendutch got busy with a mash up to finish the party people tho… Epic and another first tho!

No need to wait for the @Pepsi freebies tho, soon as they see you get in, there T-eez for you but wait revelers, theirs is another tent for the hardcore house ravers tho under the auspices of Dj Funky G and @Shotzismyname… Yes that’s were the two sport channels are showing with a full fledged bar and cocktail mixologist even… we got erybuddy coverd folks. A Snap of Women Behind the Lens: The 3ree Ladies With the Epic Edge Photography

The Captions by @ZambiazHarshTag aka Kempson Ari Visuals by Epic Edge Photography

There is a famous adage about a picture telling a story, tales that a 1000 words cannot be describe. An image immortalizes a moment in time, a feeling and the energy of the subject, object or space. Until recent times, photography has been a male dominated field but in recent times the paradigm is changing. More women are picking up their cameras and snapping away, and Zambian women are also getting in on the act. Hence I am honored to present to you the first Zambian all women (who are also sisters) photography outfit Epic Edge Photography. The ladies smiled beautifully, were pleasant and so went the epic interview.

@ZambiazHarshTag: Who came up with the name Epic Edge Photography?

Nozge Mbewe: As the creative of the group I came up with the name.

@ZambiazHarshTag: Who does what in the group?

Yavwira Mbewe: I run the admin and keep this in check. My part in the group involves dealing with the clients

Nozge Mbewe Syampongo: As I earlier stated, I am the creative one. So I am the eye that scouts the location and comes up with ideas and concepts for the shoot.

Catherine Mbewe: Someone has to be behind the lens to take the pictures, so I’m the photographer.

@ZambiazHarshTag: What makes Epic Edge Photography different from the other entities on the scene at the moment?

Catherine: We are specialized in outdoor photography unlike the majority of photographers who work or own their own studios. That said we are not limited in our scope but find a balance so as to deliver what the client wants hence studio shoots can also be arranged.

Now you know why they have epic edge, look no further the next time you need that epic touch to your pictures, the ladies of Epic Edge Photography are ready to snap life’s fondest memories. Visit their Facebook page fb.me/epicedgeshots, like it and tell your people about it. *Strikes Pose and Waves*

TLC’S NEXT GREAT PRESENTER SEARCH IS BACK IT COULD BE YOU!

TLC’s search for its next African presenter is back! This year the popular entertainment TV channel, in association with Colgate Optic White, is looking for that special person who has the winning style and Colgate smile to land the chance to present TLC’S MOST EXTREME, a brand new, four-part series coming to TLC Entertainment (DStv 135) in Q1 2017, plus an extra one-off special documenting the winner’s story.  Featuring some of the most hilarious, gripping and outrageous moments from TLC’s history, TLC’s Most Extreme will be a must see for die-hard fans of the channel and a fantastic platform to launch a new presenting talent to DStv subscribers across Africa.

From Monday 25th July to Sunday 21st August, TLC fans from across the continent are invited to submit a 90-second video audition showcasing their presenting skills and explaining why they have what it takes to be the perfect presenter.  Candidates will also be required to read a pre-written script to camera, details of which, plus full entry criteria, can be found on the Next Great Presenter website.

Last year, over 1500 TLC fans from across the continent entered the highly-contended competition, and after 60,000 votes, Namibia’s David Mbeha was crowned the winner. This time around, the competition is set to be even bigger, with more amazing prizes up for grabs for the lucky winner, including a luxury holiday for two, plus of course the opportunity to travel to London to film the four part series in one of TLC’s studios.

“The success of TLC’s Next Great Presenter 2015 exceeded our expectations in every way and we are extremely excited to roll the competition out for a second year and amplify it further though our partnership with Colgate Optic White. After receiving more than a thousand entries from across the continent, it only made sense to bring this campaign back and once more showcase the exceptional talent that Africa has to offer,” says Lee Hobbs, VP of Channels, Emerging Business, Discovery Networks CEEMEA.  “This year, we will we be looking for contenders who were made to be in front of the camera; with the enthusiasm, charisma, style and smile needed to make our TV screens light-up and join the likes of Buddy, Randy and Oprah in the TLC hall of fame. That is no mean feat, but we know our African viewers will take up the challenge and show us what they’ve got!”

“Colgate is excited to be part of this experience. TLC’s Next Great Presenter allows us to really bring Colgate Optic White to life - fashion, style and a perfect smile,” said Stuart Cryer, Marketing Director, Oral Care.  “We look forward to many Colgate Smiles lighting up TLC screens as contestants live the Optic White brand!”

Each video audition will be reviewed by a team of experts who will select the top twelve to advance to the Boot Camp stage during which three finalists will be selected by a panel of judges including executives from TLC, DStv and Colgate. But, in the end it will be up to the TLC viewers to vote for their favourite finalist, with the winner set to be revealed live at a star-studded event in Johannesburg later this year.
