Zambezi Magic @zambezimagictv channel 160 on DStv @DStv is the portal through which home-grown story tellers can finally channel their stories through film and music to the rest of Africa and spread it to the world. Dec 12^th 2015 was the day of the Meet and Greet The Stars of Zambezi Magic happened and as well as The Zed Top 10 Countdown auditions showdown ensued. The energy was electric, the event of grand proportions and a great opportunity for industry professionals and new comers to network and kick knowledge, a celebration of 20 Years of Multichoice @MultiChoice

in Zambia and the dawn of Zambezi Magic.

The stars brought their smiles and warm personalities and the fans flashed their selfie ready phones for their profile pictures and AVI’s, the event went viral on social media. The hopeful Zed Top 10 Countdown presenters allure and personalities also came alive for the cameras as they gave their 2 minute auditions their all. Media personalities and local celebrities sited at the event included the Kumwesu @KUMWESU (on every Tuesday at 8:30pm) hosts Mutale Nkonde Kapaso @MutaleKapaso and Katanekwa Matundwelo @FiestyByTane, Dagon Media Boss Lady Lulu Haangala @LuluHaangala, veteran actor and film maker Owas Mwape @owasmwape, Alpha Entertainment head honcho Macky 2 @Macky2umupondo, XYZ Boss Slap Dee @slapdee, The Diva that is Mampi @mampiliciousme, actor Oncechi Lwenji, The African Eagle Pompi @ThePompi and Musubila @thelionofafrica. One of my mentors and big brother Kamiza Chikula @KamizaChikula also stopped by to support the movement. Since its inception on the 1st of July of this year, Zambezi Magic @zambezimagictv is already airing Zambian material such as the quintessential Zambian lifestyle show Kumwesu @KUMWESU (which first aired on Africa Magic, and originally hosted by Mutale Mwanza @MutaleMwanza, ironically the new host is also Mutale) and the urbane Kool Roc Show hosted by Abel Chungu @AbelMusuka. Kenmark Communications @KenmarkPR did a phenomenal job of organising this landmark event in association with Multichoice/DStv @DStvZambia and Zambezi magic @zambezimagictv with the aim of promoting premium digital entertainment and also promoting/nurturing local talent and giving life changing opportunities through activities such as the auditions. Zambezi Magic is at the fore front and is at the helm of reaching out to the Zambian entertainment industry, making efforts to tap local talent and source local content from film makers and script writers. 

Programs such as the Zed Top 10 Countdown are examples of exclusive forums where our local musical faculties can shine and get a wider reach and greater exposure. Being called upon to host this event is an example of the strides being taken to insure talent is given visibility, my sincere gratitude to the organizers of the event for giving me a chance to shine.  Applause to the supporting cast Atmosphere Nation @atmosphere_news who provided a quality sound system through which Mr. Nathan Nyirenda @nathannyirenda and his saxophone as well as African Idols runner up Trina serenaded the revelers and shoppers. East Park Mall @eastparkmall provided the perfect venue and setting, which is also the location of the @DStvZambia Customer Center where the team does a phenomenal job of catering for all its subscribers and future clients.
